Native ability to sync IMAP account messages locally and access them offline also would be a nice feature to add. Perhaps through sqlite backend.

I prefer such setup (something like nmail or Thunderbird) to using offlineimap and local maildirs.

This is in my TODO list but is somewhat large scale. Definitely on board though.
