RSS feeds can be emulated as a read-only backend that uses HTTP requests, like JMAP, and periodically polls the feeds for updates. Articles can be viewed as e-mails, searched with the sqlite3 search backend (exists), possibly tagged with an sqlite3 tag backend (doesn't exist).
RSS articles can possibly be forwarded/shared via other e-mail accounts.
