Hi, is there any plans for adding support for i686 cpu architectures?
see also: https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/pull/26551
Hello! No plans (only amd64) was targetted at first. But I'm completely positive for attempting so.
I don't really like the conversation in that github link though? 32bit wasn't targetted not because I don't know about, it just wasn't my primary target. Also, these are not syscalls, they are in libc (POSIX). Understandbly they have different types and signatures in 32bit.
Despite of that, if there's someone that wants to prepare a patch I'm glad to help, otherwise I can take a look at it by myself, no problem! You can join #meli on oftc for coordination.
Having trouble getting void linux i686 run on qemu, it gets stuck at boot process. Closing this but will reopen if I manage to get a dev environment going.
